We are pleased to announce that Santa Clara University and the Silicon Valley Executive Center have a new program launching this May called the 'Women's Corporate Board Readiness program'. Julie Cavanna-Jerbic will be both an instructor and mentor for the program. She will focus on: Qualified Financial Expertise, Compensation Design Knowledge, and Go to Market Experience. This program It will be comprised of 'C' level women who have interest in sitting on for-profit and nonprofit boards.

Companies are under increasing pressure to include more women on their governing boards. But even so, women held just 20% of corporate board seats in the U.S., according to a 2015 survey of the S&P 500.

On October 1, 2018: California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill into law that requires major companies with headquarters in California — including many household-name tech firms — to have at least one woman on their boards by next year. U.S. companies with three or more female directors reported earnings per share that were 45 percent higher than those companies with no female directors from 2011 to 2016

Join Julie at the Silicon Valley Executive Center for a terrific program for Women on Corporate Boards!
